The Grails team has announced that version 1.0 is now available. New features include better GORM support for advanced mappings and support for REST. Full release notes are available here.

John Resig posts today about JavaScript Library Load Times on his blog. The interesting tidbit of information here for me is the fact that packing your JavaScript code may not decrease load time at all (and may in fact, increase it)!!! I would have liked to have seen ExtJs compared as well, but this at least gives a good starting point for further research.
